Quebec launches AReNA to become a world leader in RNA therapeutics
CQDM, in collaboration with ARN Québec, Axelys and Montréal InVivo, is proud to present AReNA, Québec’s new RNA cluster. Unveiled at the BIO conference in San Diego, in the presence of Christopher Skeete, Minister Delegate for the Economy, this initiative brings together key players in the life sciences and aims to propel Quebec to the forefront of innovation in the field of RNA therapies.
AReNA promises to raise the profile of all stakeholders in Quebec’s RNA therapy industry at provincial, national and international levels. AReNA is one of the five key initiatives of the mobilizing project on RNA therapies announced on April 30 by the Ministère de l’Économie, de l’Innovation et de l’Énergie (MEIE).
“The creation of AReNA represents a new milestone in the emergence and development of the RNA therapy sector in Quebec. In addition to raising the profile of Quebec’s expertise in the field of RNA therapies on a national and international scale, this new cluster will help strengthen the links between academic research and life science players based in Quebec. These are all new levers that will help Quebec commercialize its innovative RNA technologies on local, national and international markets, including those originally developed in our public research centers,” emphasized Jesse Vincent-Herscovici, President and CEO of Axelys.
