Axelys and RSRIs join forces to boost Quebec innovation for the benefit of research centers, businesses and society at large
Montreal, February 9, 2023 – Axelys, Quebec’s public research innovation development and transfer corporation, and the nine (9) sector-based industrial research groups (RSRIs) composed of : CQDM, CQRDA, CRIAQ, CRIBIQ, CRITM, InnovÉÉ, MEDTEQ+, PRIMA Québec and Prompt, all mandated by the Ministère de l’Économie, de l’Innovation et de l’Énergie (MEIE), are pleased to announce a partnership agreement aimed at better coordinating their actions and ensuring greater complementarity of their respective initiatives.
These key players in the Quebec innovation ecosystem are joining forces to drive innovation at the heart of the following strategic sectors: aluminum, aerospace, industrial bioprocesses, biopharmaceuticals, electrical energy, advanced materials, information, communications and digital technologies, health technologies and metal transformation. An important agreement for the benefit of research centers, businesses, and our society.
With this agreement, the partners are expressing their willingness to join forces to ensure a more comprehensive offering, in addition to:
- provide better support for innovation projects stemming from Québec public research;
- facilitate exchanges and partnerships between public research and industry;
- improve access to programs that support innovation for the benefit of research centers, businesses and society as a whole;
- ensure high visibility for innovation stemming from Québec public research;
- support scientific entrepreneurship;
- simplify life for the companies and researchers who interact with them.
