New social innovation support organization launched

Quebec now has a new tool to stimulate the identification, testing and scaling of social innovations in Quebec, temporarily named the Organisme de transfert et de liaison en innovation sociale du Québec (OTLISQ). Based on the existing expertise of organizations already active in social innovation, it will support the development of concrete, sustainable practices, solutions and social innovations for Quebec society.

“The potential impact of social innovation is very strong in Quebec. It is with great enthusiasm that we participate in the creation of an organization that will support project leaders, the organizations that accompany them, and communities of all backgrounds, in implementing and scaling useful solutions and promising processes, whatever the stage of innovation,” add Marie Claude Lagacé and Coryell Boffy, members of the provisional board of directors and respectively Senior Director, Innovation and Social Transformation at the Quebec Innovation Council and Senior Director, Society and Culture at Axelys.
