Appointment of three new directors to the Board of Directors
As mentioned in our last article published in La Presse+ on March 15, we are pleased to announce the appointment of three new directors to fill the last seats left vacant since the creation of Axelys: Anne-Marie Alarco (Chief Innovation Officer of the Centre hospitalier universitaire [CHU] Sainte-Justine), Albert De Luca (former partner and national leader of the global R&D and government incentives group at Deloitte) and Emilie Boutros (partner of the private gas pedal TandemLaunch). Mr. Abdo Shabah, emergency physician, innovator-entrepreneur and public health specialist, will also join Axelys’ mission as strategic advisor to the CEO.
Their experience and expertise will bring immense added value to our already strong Board of Directors, made up of innovation leaders such as Luc Sirois, Vincent Aimez, François Bertrand, Eugénie Brouillet, Didier Leconte, Yannick Le Devehat, Rémi Quirion, Christian Agbobli, Nadine Arbour, Louis-Félix Binette, Dominique Biron, Isabelle Gaudet, Serge Rivest, Alain Chandonnet, Linda Labbe and Michelle Laflamme.
In Quebec, we have a very dynamic public research sector. Our challenge is to ensure that this creativity can be converted into tangible innovations that will make their way to market, and that’s where Axelys comes in. We want to facilitate this essential passage between idea and market.
